Mabel Huynh is a Grade 11 student at Burnaby Central Secondary and is serving as Director of Design for Generational Hearts Foundation this year. Joining Generational Hearts helps her to diversify her experiences, skills and social connections, especially when she has only worked with younger students as a mentor. Mabel gets to socialize with the older generation, support them in recreational activities that reduce senior loneliness, and also find peace in doing the crafts she loves with new people. As a Director of Design, she is behind the organization’s posts, reel covers, and event materials on our social media platforms. Outside, Mabel is an active member of her school’s dance company and choirs. She loves to draw, listen to music and go on field trips with her family. For the upcoming year, Mabel hopes to support Generational Hearts as much as she can!
