Shira Chen, a high school senior at Vancouver Christian School, is looking forward to serving her second year at Generation Hearts Foundation for the 2025-2026 school year. As the Executive Director of Finance, she works behind the scenes to organize fundraising events, track transactions, and record reimbursements to ensure the Foundation’s money is well utilized. She takes great contentment in participating in Senior Home visits— perceiving each as a new opportunity to interact with the seniors, strengthen relationships, and create lasting memories. In a more casual environment, Shira loves spontaneous events and adhering to a flexible, open schedule, believing sudden outings make life a little more interesting. With this mindset, she is anticipating a year filled with new opportunities, activities, and moments that last a lifetime.
